Color Catchers

5 x 7" oil on panel

Fresh Art from the windowsill. (sigh) On the inside, looking out...it's a sure sign that the art operation is moving indoors for the season.
I have a fine collection of colored glass bottles that now sit inside my glass block window. This painting shows how they make a dazzling light show even inside a crusty factory window.

Savannah Skyline

5 x 7" oil on panel

We love to visit Savannah.

Why do the cloud formations always look more dramatic over the ocean? Or do they appear massively overwhelming just because you can see more horizon?

Spectators

5 x 7" oil on panel

These Setters attended the Flying Pig Marathon. They appeared to be more interested in the ducks along the Landing. I think they'd rather be running a race of their own.

Convince Me

5 x 7" oil on panel

Florence, Italy, sets the scene for romance, adventure, and earnest conversation. They were either trying to decide which landmark to visit next, or he was telling a really big fish story.

The Licking River

Fresh Art from the Ohio River!
6 x 10" oil painting on panel

"Tall Stacks" was in Cincinnati this weekend. After painting and photographing sternwheelers for a few days, I took a break and painted the Licking River, just across from where I was standing. The Licking is the only river that runs north in this country - or so I have been told.
